HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY - we celebrated at a Thai Restaurant with yummy spicy food. All dishes were reasonable except steamed thai rice - each plate costs 500 Yen (equivalent to S$7.50) ... very expensive!!!

12th February 2009 - 30 mins walk from home to a nearby CHINESE TEMPLE, between Motomachi & Kobe train stations.

Visit REINA SAN on 6th February 2009, plus photo taking at her modern Japanese house!

26th January 2009 (1st day of CNY)

"GONG XI FA CAI", "Wan Shi Ru Yu", "Nian Nian You Yu" ....

We celebrated at home ... 5 of us were busy preparing lunch for our visitors. We enjoyed the cold weather here with Bangawan cookies (pineapple tarts, kueh bang cake & love letters) plus traditional drink - "longan ang cho tea".

25th January 2009 (Lunar 30th Nite)

Our 1st REUNION DINNER in Kobe/Japan. We celebrated with traditional "chicken" set utensils plus traditional CNY food such as "chap chye", fishmaw chicken soup, "tao kua sheng" etc and "yu-sheng" (Japanese sashimi)!

Kids are encouraged to "shou sui" on the eve of Chinese New Year, followed by q-up for "hong bao" from parents. Also received Gong Gong's red packets from Singapore by courier!

24th January 2009

CNY REUNION DINNER with another 2 (Chow & Koh) families from Singapore, total 14 pax.

We had hot pot buffet at Asian Days restaurant.

18th January 2009

20 mins walk to SANNOMIYA area to have BRUNCH, followed by shopping soccer set for Jeff's school activity!
